Percy is one of the twelve piglets we took in with their two mothers in late 2009. He was definitely the runt of the litter and was being pushed out of the food troughs by the other piglets and subsequently developed pneumonia.
We took him in and nursed him back to health in the barn and we’ve (especially Sarah) become so attached to him that we can’t bear the thought of him becoming chops or sausages, so he’s now our pet and a permanent fixture at the Farm Shop.
