Inside Wotton Farm Shop

Farm Shop

At Wotton Farm Shop we pride ourselves on our fresh local produce and our customer service. The shop is very efficiently run by Sarah, our shop manager and her loyal team. If you have visited us, you will recognise Sarah as the one who doesn't stand still for very long!

We stock our own home grown fruit and vegetables whenever possible, in season. When this isn't possible, Roger is the (lucky?) one who has the 4am starts to get to Bristol Market in time to select the best of the locally grown produce. Local growers from Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire, Devon and Cornwall send their goods to Bristol daily so you can be sure that most of it will have been picked or cut only hours before. Where items can't be sourced locally, because of seasonal issues or availability (there aren't too many bananas or oranges grown in Gloucestershire!) we have contacts in Bristol who source for us the best quality offerings from other parts of the EU and further afield with always a mindful eye on fair trade issues.

We have a popular farm kitchen which produces good home cooked food every day excepy Sundays and a butchery stocking local meat, which is also looked after by Roger. We have a cheese counter which stocks dozens of English cheeses, including some local ones such as those made in Leonard Stanley by the Godsell family.
our new range from 'Olives et al'We stock local milk and cream from Lucy's Dairy in Kingswood and organic milk and cream from Jess' Ladies of Hardwicke near Gloucester, free range eggs (including duck and goose eggs when available) from Helen in Bradley Green, Winstone's ice cream from Stroud, loose leaf and tea bags from the Wiltshire Tea Company, Miles coffee from Porlock, a range of sauces, relishes and preserves from the Woodchester Fine Food Company near Stroud and a range from Atkins and Potts of Devon, cereal and muesli products from Dorset Cereals, award winning bread from Hobbs House bakery of Chipping Sodbury, Cotswold Meringues from Nailsworth, Burt's Crisps from Devon, Patsy's hand made cakes from Berkeley, Franks luxury biscuits from Hereford – and the list continues to expand!

We also have an innovative orange juicing machine which supplies us with our own delicious chilled orange juice. We also stock a range of locally made greetings cards and a range of prints by well-known local artist (and Roger's sister) Jane Lampard.

Our most recent introduction is a range of pitted and stuffed olives, marinated peppers and mushrooms plus 'dispense yourself' olive oil from 'Olives et al' of Dorset which are proving to be a major attraction.
